Typical Day for Sisters Judith Marie Rollo & Dolores Sullivan

The following article appeared in the Summer 2007issue of Bringing Hope.

After 55 years of combined service at Mount Saint Agnes
Academy in Bermuda, Sisters Judith Marie Rollo and
Dolores Sullivan have embraced a new ministry. Last
January, their home, Caritas, was blessed as a house of
prayer. In addition to providing a welcoming gathering
place for prayer and reflection, they visit the sick and
those who are homebound. A recent Monday included
the following:

• Rose at 5:15 a.m. Had morning prayer together followed by meditation.

• Opened the cathedral at 7:15 a.m. (On Mondays, they take turns conducting Communion services.)

• Had coffee with Mass attendees.

• S. Dolores spent an hour teaching English to the parish’s Polish priest. S. Judith returned home to work on a PowerPoint presentation for an upcoming workshop for diocesan Eucharistic ministers.

• After completing household tasks and lunch, they returned to the cathedral to set up for a funeral Mass, in which they would both participate.

• Went to the hospital where they brought Communion to about ten people and prayed with others. (They each visit different floors at the hospital, but usually visit the children’s ward together.)
